Flocking Children's Jersey Set or Printing Children's Jersey Set
Should you flock or print a children's jersey set? Although flocking was the standard until a few years ago, there are now better alternatives in terms of price and quality. With flocking or digital printing, jersey sets are coated afterward. Imprints are transferred onto the jersey using a special adhesive process. However, the disadvantages are clear. Breathability is compromised due to the coating in those areas. Additionally, the imprint degrades with each wash, resulting in fading colors or brittle textures. Moreover, each imprint incurs costs depending on the number of colors, complexity, and size. Sublimation printing, however, avoids these issues. In sublimation printing, fibers and dye become one, which can only separate at temperatures above 200 degrees. This ensures 100% colorfastness and maximum breathability at the same time. Furthermore, this printing process provides complete design freedom, which is heavily restricted when using standard printing techniques (e.g., limited to black, yellow, or green colors). Flocking children's jerseys is now a thing of the past.
Why hasn't sublimation printing become more widespread despite its advantages? The complexity of the process is the reason. To date, it has only proven economical for large order quantities. With our 3D configurator, we can transfer the design process to you, allowing us to pass savings on to you. This enables us to produce jerseys at competitive prices in Europe. Particularly for kids jersey sets, we can offer prices lower than those of standard children's jerseys from Asia, thanks to our scale discounts.
