Having a jersey flock-printed: How does it work?
In flock printing, letters, numbers or logos made from textile foil are applied to an existing jersey using an adhesive process. This method was long the standard for customising jerseys – but is increasingly being replaced by more modern printing techniques, such as sublimation printing.
What are the disadvantages of flock printing on jerseys?
In the flocked areas , the fabric’s breathability is compromised. With every wash, colours can fade and the flock’s texture can become brittle. Furthermore, with traditional flock printing, each individual print is usually charged for separately – so names, numbers and logos can quickly add up.
Can I have my jersey flock-printed at spized?
At spized, we do not offer flocking, and this is a conscious decision. Instead, we use sublimation printing, which is superior in every respect: the design is incorporated directly into the fabric, remains colourfast, does not affect breathability and allows for complete creative freedom. All printing costs are included in the price – no matter how many logos, names or colours you use.
Can I have just a single jersey printed at spized?
Yes. At spized, there is no minimum order quantity. You can order as few as one item. We guarantee that any repeat orders will be charged at the same price as the original order.
