spized supports Meererleben e.V. at the Syltlauf 2025 with customised jerseys for a good cause

Sport unites. The sporting goods manufacturer spized and the non-profit organisation Meerleben e.V. joined forces for a good cause at the Syltlauf 2025 - a collaboration that did not necessarily focus on athletic performance, but above all on social commitment that supports children and young people in the long term. The Sylt-based association took part in the 42nd Syltlauf with its employees and used the event to collect donations for itself and for the “Wir für Carlotta” campaign. spized supported the campaign and provided the association with 10 customised jerseys worth almost €430.

Meerleben e.V. - A committed organisation for hope and joie de vivre

Meerleben e.V. is a non-profit organisation that has dedicated itself for years to promoting and supporting children and young people in challenging life situations. The organisation is particularly dedicated to young people who are confronted with serious physical, psychological or social impairments, such as cancer. Meerleben e.V. focuses on innovative therapeutic approaches that go far beyond traditional treatment methods.

A special feature of the organisation is the use of sports therapy and experiential education measures. Among other things, surf therapy plays a central role, in which movement on the water not only promotes physical strength, but also strengthens the self-confidence and courage of the participants in the long term. Creative and varied programmes provide young people with a space in which they can overcome their personal challenges and recharge their batteries.

The ‘We for Carlotta’ fundraising campaign supports 15-year-old Carlotta Gysbers from Sylt, who is severely disabled after suffering a stroke during her swimming training. Donations are collected through various campaigns to finance her rehabilitation and the conversion of her home to make it suitable for disabled people.

Donations for a good cause

This year's Syltlauf was not just a sporting success for MeerLeben e.V.. The eight-strong relay team improved on its time from the previous year, finishing in 3:13 hours after 34.5 kilometres from List to Hörnum. Above all, however, the event was a strong sign of solidarity: more than €1,000 in donations were collected, which went in equal parts to the “Wir für Carlotta” campaign and the MeerLeben e.V. projects - a benefit that extends far beyond the run.
