Company T-shirt printing: The perfect outfit for all employees

Whether it's for a running business, a public event or the next company run - a company T-shirt with a company logo looks professional and strengthens team spirit at the same time. An investment in high-quality company shirts is therefore always worthwhile.
However, you should know exactly what is important for effective corporate T-shirts. The design, material and print all have a strong influence on the impact and price of the shirts. In this article you will learn how to get the most out of your corporate t-shirts and how the  ordering process at spized works.

Why do you need company T-shirts?

Company T-shirts as a marketing tool

If your employees are not yet wearing T-shirts with your company logo, then you are currently missing out on a very powerful and, above all, sustainable marketing tool with a particularly high level of acceptance.

Direct marketing via printed company T-shirts, on the other hand, performs much better in this respect. Because every one of your employees wears clothes anyway. So why not use this free platform to market your own product or service? This unobtrusive form of advertising represents an easy-to-implement benefit for your company through the following mechanisms.

  • Business card: Company T-shirts signal a sense of belonging at all times and thus act as a kind of business card for the company.
  • External effect: Uniform company clothing automatically radiates professionalism and competence, which in turn leads to greater trust and respect on the part of customers.
  • Association: In the best case, uniform company shirts ensure that a customer automatically associates a certain colour combination with a company.
  • Give-away: If you order company T-shirts in larger quantities, you can also give them away to customers or business partners.

In the service sector, company shirts have long been standard. For example, employees in the retail sector, craftsmen and other service providers have long worn company clothing. But company T-shirts can also be very useful in other companies. Be it for a specific event, sales at a trade fair or simply for the next company run. These are all platforms that should not be left unused for marketing your own products.

In addition, company shirts bring other advantages with them...

Employees' sense of community and belonging

Even without a special occasion, many companies commission the printing of company T-shirts. Simply for the reason of strengthening the team spirit and the sense of community and belonging of their own employees. And with success! In fact, uniform company clothing demonstrably supports the corporate identity of a company. The company benefits from the following advantages:

  • Equality: Social differences remain private, while only professional identity comes to the fore.

  • Productivity increases: External appearances and fashion preferences are left out of the equation and employees can better concentrate on the essential tasks. In addition, company clothing fills them with pride, which in turn leads to a more self-confident and successful way of working.

  • Motivation increases: The employer's outfits lead to an increased identification with the company, which in turn automatically increases the motivation of the employees.

By the way: Special occasions, such as anniversary or Christmas parties, are perfect for distributing the new company T-shirts to employees. They will be immensely happy about this form of appreciation.

Company run running shirts

The provision of running shirts for the next company run is also very popular. In this way, a company not only represents itself positively in public, but at the same time signals that it attaches special importance to workplace health promotion and the athleticism of its own employees. According to recent studies, this approach to health is increasingly being used as a factor in employer attractiveness.

In addition, company runs and the uniform appearance as a team have a great influence on the feeling of togetherness in the company. A funny team name and matching company run t-shirts round off the whole thing and weld the team closer together.
This is what a company shirt from the spized 3D configurator could look like.

What do company T-shirts have to look like?

Remaining in the memory

First and foremost, a company T-shirt should stand out for marketing purposes and, in the best case, be remembered by potential customers. But there are different ways to approach this. You should ask yourself the following questions before you print a company T-shirt:

  • What purpose do you want the corporate t-shirts to serve?

  • Should the company T-shirts represent a kind of uniform for the company?

  • Or should they be used to support a special marketing campaign?

Depending on the purpose of the company shirts, there are also different design options available. In any case, however, the shirts should represent the image of the company so that a uniform corporate design remains recognisable. In the case of a special marketing campaign, however, new and particularly eye-catching elements can also be added.

Represent the brand/company

Of course, a company T-shirt should contain the company logo as well as the company name, so that it can be recognised at a glance which company it is. Slogans, distinctive lettering and logo colours can also be included. After all, a uniform corporate design ensures recognition value.

Depending on which products or services the company offers, it is also important to consider which T-shirt cut is particularly suitable for this. While a simple cotton T-shirt makes a rather casual impression, a polo shirt, for example, looks much more professional in certain areas.

Professional design

Speaking of professionalism: The design of a company shirt should be well thought out and approved by several parties, so that no gross mistakes happen here. After all, how annoying is it, for example, if the 100 printed copies all contain a spelling mistake in the end?

It is very practical if a print provider offers a 3D online configurator that allows several people to access the design drafts. This and other advantages are also offered by spized, for example. There are also a few "rules" that should be observed for a professional design of company T-shirts:

  • Logo: We recommend a small logo on the left chest (approx. 10 x 10 cm) and/or a larger print on the back.

  • Slogan: A longer slogan looks good on the back under the logo. The entire back surface usually offers space for approx. DIN A3.

  • Additional information: While telephone numbers were often placed on company T-shirts in the past, this is not recommended nowadays. It makes much more sense to print the company website clearly visible on the shirt. Here, too, the back area is particularly suitable.

  • Colours: The colours of the company shirt should be adapted to the company logo and the corporate design. By the way, the sublimation printing process offers the greatest creative freedom. While all other printing techniques print on already dyed textile blanks, sublimation printing offers the possibility to design background colours and patterns as desired.
Suitable for any event: A customised polo shirt.

What material should company T-shirts be made of?

The classic T-shirt is made of cotton. But is that also the best material to represent your own company? Not necessarily. There are many reasons for using synthetic fibres such as polyester:

  • More professional effect: A simple cotton T-shirt is thrown at you at every raffle. Yet it sometimes makes a rather cheap impression. Once washed, they often lose colour intensity and wrinkle quickly. Polyester textiles often look much better.

  • Longer lasting: Especially the long durability is a good argument for polyester textiles. Even when worn and washed several times, they still look like new. Due to the material's properties, they do not need to be ironed.

  • Better material properties: Especially at events or trade fair sales, employees quickly work up a sweat. Cotton is not forgiving here and will stick unsightly to the skin. Polyester fabrics, on the other hand, are much more breathable and dry faster, so they can withstand any strain and prevent unsightly sweat stains.

  • More versatile: Due to the special material properties, polyester T-shirts are much more versatile. For example, simple company T-shirts can be used just as well as company running shirts and vice versa.

  • Sublimation printing applicable: Cotton fabrics cannot be sublimation printed, which significantly limits design freedom.

Have a T-shirt printed with your company logo at spized

Let's say you want to have company shirts printed for the next company run. At spized, we use the modern technology of sublimation printing, which offers you many other advantages in addition to unbeatable prices. The ordering process is very simple and you have maximum flexibility in the design. Here are the most important advantages at a glance:

Printing results: No other printing technique achieves such precise printing results.

Flexibility in design: In addition to the usual imprints, the background colours and the complete design of the blank can also be adapted.

Preservation of material properties: While flock or flex prints considerably restrict the breathability and stretchability of running shirts, sublimation printing preserves all material properties.

Durability: Sublimation printing is resistant to colour fading, UV radiation and other environmental influences. The running shirts are therefore very easy to care for.

Inexpensive production: With most conventional printing techniques, the costs increase with each additional motif or the complexity of the motifs. Not so with sublimation printing. Here, any number of logos/slogans/graphics can be added free of charge.

Fast production: Since no post-treatment is necessary, company shirts can be produced comparatively quickly with sublimation printing.

Re-orderable designs: Your team is growing or the next company run is just around the corner? The digitally stored company run shirt can be easily reordered at any time.

Sustainability: Not only the long durability, but also the absence of binding agents and solvents as well as the use of water-based colours ensure a good ecological balance. By the way, we also stock running shirts recycled from PET bottles in our shop.
1. Choose the right shirt

In the first step, you choose which cut you would like for the company running shirts. The classics in running are tank tops or running shirts with short sleeves. The latter are especially popular because their T-shirt shape means they can still be worn on different occasions. As soon as a product has been selected, it is automatically forwarded to the 3D configurator. By the way, running shorts or jackets can also be printed with the company logo or logo colours.

2. Design a company running shirt with the intuitive 3D configurator

Now the actual design of the company T-shirts begins. Of course, you can hire a professional for this, but our 3D configurator also allows any layman to create attractive designs in no time. The following settings can be made for a company running shirt or a company T-shirt:

  • Determination of the basic design
  • Adjustment of colours and patterns
  • Adding text (e.g. slogans or advertising slogans)
  • Adding company logo and other graphics
