Every month, our community selects the most beautiful jersey from three current club designs. In March, the Dodgeball Ninjas from Austria prevailed with their particularly colorful jersey design. But what makes the winning jersey so special – and what exactly is dodgeball? Here you’ll find the answers.

Jersey of the month march: Dodgeball Ninjas take the title

The decision has been made: As part of our monthly community vote, the Dodgeball Ninjas jersey was chosen as the Jersey of the Month for March.

The current jerseys of the following clubs were up for selection:

Dart Club Stotzheim
Dodgeball Ninjas
SV Heide Jävenitz

The Ninjas won the race by a clear margin. The club from Austria received 75% of the votes cast (157). Dart Club Stotzheim secured second place (23%), ahead of SV Heide Jävenitz (3%).

With this success, the Ninjas not only claim the March title but also earn a place in our Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame features all Jerseys of the Month selected by you. So, if you are looking for inspiration for your club, you have come to the right place.

Spized jersey designer celebrates dynamic color concept

“The Ninjas jersey impresses with its dynamic rainbow effect, which gives the entire shirt a sense of energy. The black on the sleeves and sides perfectly frames the color concept, making the colors appear even more intense,” says Max Gillmeier, jersey designer at spized.

“Another highlight is the leaping ninja figure, a key element of the Ninjas’ logo, which perfectly matches the sport of dodgeball.”

Dodgeball Ninjas in Club Profile

The Dodgeball Ninjas are an Austrian dodgeball club from Vienna, officially organized as SU Dodgeball Ninjas Vienna. They were founded in 2013. As an active member of the Austrian dodgeball league ADBL, the Ninjas also regularly participate in national and international tournaments and play a significant role in promoting this emerging sport. They place great importance on team spirit and fairness.

Their goal is to further establish the sport in Austria and to inspire enthusiasm for this dynamic sport. In addition to training sessions for adults, the Ninjas also offer programs for children and young people.

What is Dodgeball?

Simply put: Dodgeball is a team sport in which two teams compete against each other. Typically, each team consists of six players who stand facing each other in two halves of the playing field.

The aim of the game is to eliminate players of the opposing team by hitting them with thrown balls (3–6). At the same time, players must try to dodge or catch the thrown balls. Catching a ball eliminates the thrower and brings a teammate back into play.

Important: If a player is hit, there is still a chance to be saved. This is possible if a teammate catches the rebound directly after the hit. If a player is holding a ball and uses it to block a thrown ball, it does not count as an elimination.

The winner is either the team with more players remaining on the field at the end of the game time, or the team that eliminates all opponents within the match time.
